Getting to Morillon

Our chalet in the Grand Massif area is easily accessible from Geneva Airport (GVA), located just about an hour away.

Flight Options

Geneva Airport (GVA) is the primary gateway, offering flights from major cities worldwide. The airport is well-connected with numerous daily flights from European capitals, UK cities, and seasonal long-haul routes.

  • Distance to Morillon: 60 km (37 miles)
  • Transfer time: ~1 hour

Lyon Airport is also a possibility but it's a longer distance to cover after

Shared Airport Transfers

Since we will all arrive on the same day, we will see if we can coordinate airport transfer on the arrival day from Geneva Airport directly to the chalet. Tell me (the organizer) your flight details.

Public Transport Options

Train + Bus

Budget-friendly option for independent travelers:

  1. Geneva Airport → Annemasse (by train)
  2. Annemasse → Samoëns (by YO2 bus service↗)

Alternative route:

  1. Geneva Airport → Geneva Cornavin (train station)
  2. Geneva Cornavin → Cluses (Léman Express train, 19km from Samoëns)
  3. Cluses → Samoëns/Morillon (local bus Y94 or short taxi)

Local Transportation

Between Villages

  • Free ski bus - Connects Morillon, Samoëns, and other Grand Massif resorts during ski season
  • Public bus service - Regular connections between villages year-round
  • On foot - 5 minute walk to gondola from the chalet
